Responsible Gambling Policy

At in Wellington, we believe that gambling should always be an enjoyable and entertaining experience. We are deeply committed to promoting responsible gambling and ensuring the well-being of every guest who walks through our doors. If gambling ever stops being fun, we are here to help.

Our Commitment

is dedicated to providing a safe, fair, and responsible gambling environment. We take our social responsibilities seriously and actively work to prevent problem gambling within our premises. Our commitment includes:

  • Training all staff to recognise the signs of problem gambling and respond with care and sensitivity.
  • Providing clear and accessible information about responsible gambling tools and support services.
  • Offering self-exclusion and limit-setting options to all guests who request them.
  • Promoting gambling as entertainment, not as a way to generate income or solve financial difficulties.
  • Complying fully with all applicable New Zealand gambling laws and regulations.
  • Continuously reviewing and improving our responsible gambling practices.

We encourage all guests to gamble within their means, set personal limits before they play, and take regular breaks. Remember, the house always has an edge — please gamble responsibly.

18+ Age Policy

Gambling at is strictly permitted for individuals aged 18 years and over. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding underage gambling. All guests may be asked to provide valid photographic identification to verify their age before entering the gaming floor or participating in any gambling activity.

Accepted forms of identification include:

  • New Zealand driver's licence
  • New Zealand passport or international passport
  • HANZ 18+ Card (New Zealand proof of age card)
  • Any other government-issued photographic identification

If you are unsure whether a person meets the minimum age requirement, our staff are authorised and trained to request identification at any time. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us keep gambling safe for everyone.

We also ask that guests do not allow minors to remain unattended in or near gaming areas. If you are concerned about a young person on our premises, please speak to a member of our staff immediately.

Recognising the Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can affect anyone, regardless of age, background, or financial situation. It often develops gradually and may be difficult to recognise at first. We encourage all guests and their loved ones to be aware of the following warning signs:

Behavioural Signs

  • Spending more money or time gambling than originally intended.
  • Chasing losses — continuing to gamble in an attempt to win back money that has been lost.
  • Lying to family members, friends, or employers about gambling habits or losses.
  • Neglecting work, family, or personal responsibilities because of gambling.
  • Gambling as a way to escape stress, anxiety, depression, or other emotional difficulties.
  • Feeling restless or irritable when attempting to cut down or stop gambling.
  • Making repeated unsuccessful efforts to control, reduce, or stop gambling.

Financial Signs

  • Borrowing money or selling possessions to fund gambling.
  • Using money set aside for bills, rent, or essential expenses to gamble.
  • Experiencing significant financial difficulties as a result of gambling.
  • Concealing financial losses or debts from family members or close friends.

Emotional and Social Signs

  • Feeling anxious, guilty, or depressed about gambling behaviour.
  • Withdrawing from social activities and relationships in favour of gambling.
  • Experiencing mood swings related to wins and losses.
  • Feeling a persistent preoccupation with gambling, even when not actively playing.

If you recognise any of these signs in yourself or someone you care about, please know that help is available and recovery is absolutely possible. You do not have to face this alone.

Self-Exclusion and Responsible Gambling Tools

offers a range of practical tools to help guests maintain control over their gambling activity. We encourage all guests to make use of these resources proactively, before any difficulties arise.

Self-Exclusion Programme

Our self-exclusion programme allows guests to voluntarily ban themselves from the gaming floor and all gambling activities at for a set period of time. Self-exclusion is a powerful and confidential tool that can provide the breathing space needed to seek help and regain control.

To apply for self-exclusion, please speak privately with any member of our Guest Services team or visit our responsible gambling desk located near the main entrance of the casino. Self-exclusion requests are handled with the utmost sensitivity and confidentiality.

Deposit and Spending Limits

Guests may request personal spending limits to be placed on their casino accounts. Our team can assist you in setting daily, weekly, or monthly limits that align with your personal financial boundaries.

Time Limits and Reality Checks

We encourage all guests to set time limits on their gambling sessions. Our staff are happy to provide courtesy time reminders upon request. Taking regular breaks and keeping track of time spent gambling are simple but effective ways to stay in control.

Cooling-Off Periods

If you feel that you need a short break from gambling without committing to a full self-exclusion, you may request a temporary cooling-off period. Please speak with our Guest Services team for more information.

Exclusion from Marketing Communications

Guests may opt out of receiving promotional materials and gambling-related marketing communications from at any time. Please contact our Guest Services team to update your communication preferences.

Support and Helpline Numbers
